I am excited about the Nature Fund’s focus on supporting scientific studies and development of management tools to assist parks in addressing unprecedented and complex landscape scale issues.

PROTECTING AMERICA’S TREASURES
National parks are America’s treasures—a legacy passed from one generation to the next. In 2016, we will celebrate 100 years of foresight and accomplishment in protecting the nation’s natural and cultural heritage through the national park system. The challenges facing national parks over the next 100 years, however, are daunting and will be impossible to address without better scientific understanding and targeted resource management actions.
The Nature Fund for National Parks is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that channels philanthropic funding to vital science and research projects in national parks. As an official partner of the National Park Service, the organization identifies and supports strategic projects that provide valuable findings and replicable management actions to park managers, while educating the public about environmental issues facing our planet.
