March 28, 2016 – The Nature Fund announces the appointment of Sheridan Steele, recently retired as superintendent of Acadia National Park, to its Board of Directors. During Sheridan’s 37-year career with the National Park Service, he was a strong proponent for natural resources and brings his experience in a variety of parks and with a large range of park resource issues to the board, as it seeks to identify strategic projects that can assist park managers in addressing the difficult decisions that need to be made to protect natural resources in a rapidly changing environment.
